That's what Ron Paul would do. That's what libertarianism is. Look it up.Mandy wrote:Pinochet sold his country to the corporations.popinjay wrote:You don't realise how much the government (even the American one) does for the people. Libertarians support the privitisation of everything. Roads, schools, etc. If everybody is paying the same amount to use public services, the lower classes are obviously going to be hit much harder.

Ron Paul : Stop Dreaming
When someone (Bush & Co) are stealing all your money (by way of taxation which the super-rich and the overseas registerd corporations avoid) in order to give this tax take (and lots more thanks to borrowings) to corporations to wage wars which harm you, then first priority is to stop that. Then this will in itself lead to wealth redistribution IN FAVOUR of the poor.popinjay wrote:That's what Ron Paul would do. That's what libertarianism is. Look it up.
So we (and I speak as a poor person) should just wait for these lovely rich people's money to trickle down to us scum at the bottom? Fuck that! They should make deliberate attempts to remove the poor from society by enabling them to work, to contribute. But no, that's against the soulless concept of capitalism.
Faceless, If someone is taking £100 of you in taxation to pay for a war & EVERYONE pays these taxes, with the poorest the most (e.g. VAT on effectively essentials), then if these taxes reduce, you are immediately better off. This is not trickle down economics, where you free the corporations & super-rich to make millions/billions, and hope this trickles down.
Ron Paul's strategy would seriously hurt corporations (MIC etc.), especially when the price of oil drops (since less is needed by the military).
I am all for income redistribution for the poor, and taxation as the price of civilisation, and a safety net for the poorest. The issue is that Ron Paul wants to stop the EXTRA taxation on top of that for wars and a bloated federal system which is now effectively targeting its own citizens & sending billions to Israel and to fight overseas colonial wars.
I believe the present tax system is structured to effectively tax from the poor and give to the rich. Look at the GROWING gap between rich & poor under Bush, Blair, Brown etc. The recent reduction in Inheritance Tax & Capital Gains Tax on second homes and buy-to-let properties shows that they are pandering to the rich, whilst screwing the workers (such as the postal workers).

I am with you on this .. and I think Ron Paul will do EXACTLY that .. which is why the MSM media hate him & try to ignore him ..faceless wrote:Fuck the rich - simple as that.
and if that fails (as it seems to be), then to libel and slander him (as that earlier article tried to do).
If the message really got out as to what Ron Paul stands for, then the rich/MIC/Zionists etc. are REALLY in trouble.

Sorry, MSM is the Main Stream Media (Murdoch, usual news web sites etc.)

Regarding "And Ron Paul will not fuck the rich - he's a Republican!" that is like saying Labour/Democrats won't fuck the poor. But we have seen them do exactly that.

So the MSM media is the mainstream media media? Hehe, sorry, couldn't resist that one!Mandy wrote:... I think Ron Paul will do EXACTLY that .. which is why the MSM media hate him & try to ignore him ..
Reminds me of a time someone once said to me "As soon as ASAP".
I am 100% with you on this. The whole system is corrupt from top to bottom, and that is why we need radical change to stop the war party and, linked to this, to stop the rich - poor divide getting wider.faceless wrote:ok, sorry for being ratty about this - I'm just sick of their entire system.
Indeed, in the US the "middle classes" have been decimated (thanks to outsourcing), which leaves a bigger gap between the super rich and the rest who are left to do McJobs in the service industry. Manufacturing has been decimated thanks to the globalization agenda.
Regarding "MSM Media", well spotted Kate.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) are now slandering him with links to "white supremacist" : "Ideology: Anti-government, some white supremacist elements"
As if Bush / Clinton don't have "white supremacist" elements supporting them.

If that bastion of free speech " Anti-Defamation League (ADL)" are opposed to him, maybe Ron Paul will be in the same category as "John Mearsheimer" and "Stephen Walt" since the ADL realises Ron Paul's agenda of no subsidies to Israel is BAD for Israel, whilst good for the American citizens (especially the poor) who would thus pay less tax and/or get more benefits and/or less of a federal debt to repay in future.
