Anti-Piracy company hacked...

Post by faceless »

Anti-piracy company 'Media Guardian' who specialise in creating havoc amongst p2p servers have been monitored by hackers for the past few months resulting in all their emails and even telephone calls regarding their work being published on various sites.

If you ever wanted to see a company's demise in as much detail as seeing a car-crash from 10ft away then you might find this an interesting read... I've not downloaded the complete email file, but from what I've seen so far it's about as damning as any evidence ever was.

You can read all about it here:

I just saw this page and thought it was another great example of someone who thought they were beyond reproach being jacked.

That's priceless, face :lol:

When you have doom9 and hydrogen audio, you don't really need to buy any DVD, HDDVD or BlueRay player or even a HiDef TV. Instead get a quad core with 256 mb native video card:, 2 GB RAM, a GOOD PSU and cooler and samsung 24 inch monitor and a tehcnotrend DVBS2 card. It's far cheaper. ofc one needs a to read a bit. But hey! that's rewarding :D

The Pirate Bay files charges against media companies

Thanks to the email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders we now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers.

While browsing through the email we identified the companies that are also active in Sweden and we have tonight reported these incidents to the police. The charges are infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming, all of these on a commercial level.

The companies that are being reported are the following:

* Twentieth Century Fox, Sweden AB
* Emi Music Sweden AB
* Universal Music Group Sweden AB
* Universal Pictures Nordic AB
* Paramount Home Entertainment (Sweden) AB
* Atari Nordic AB
* Activision Nordic Filial Till Activision (Uk) Ltd
* Ubisoft Sweden AB
* Sony Bmg Music Entertainment (Sweden) AB
* Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Nordic AB

---------------

this is quite something! haha

Good luck to them though, it would be funny to see these companies hoist by their own petard.
