Early trials of SpideredNews.com TV & Radio

Post by Mandy »

FYI, you can view and listen to early trials of SpideredNews.com TV & Radio on :

SpideredNews.com TV :

Still experimental, and reliability depends on how many viewers are connected and at what speed (since it is a Peer-to-Peer technology which should allow almost unlimited growth).

looks like you do faceless, i'm using firefox as well and its not working
Note that viewing inside a web browser requires Internet Explorer. You need to enable the ActiveX control in order to view the channel.
are you thinking of making it work for firefox mandy? :wink2:

Unfortunately, yes -- you need IE .. unless you download the TVU player which is a stand-alone windows application from https://www.tvunetworks.com [channels 63184 & 63185]

I was v. disappointed it didn't work in FF .. which is what I usually use. The browser player is an ActiveX control .. so I hope TVU will update it in future for other browsers.

GREAT !!!!!!!!

The Real Deal is due to restart in October. I would hope to get it streaming in real-time on the TV channel.

yeah it works cool, both the audio and video, although it takes a bit of time to change channels. george is on both at the moment! this is going to be galloways own 24 hour station isn't it ...

that'll be cool - you should repeat it later on as well ( lots of people are on their way home at that time ). i bet you could get quite an audience for that

Definitely hope to also capture the recordings. Indeed, I am still hopeful to get recordings of the 1st series.

very good, thanks Mandy.

i've had the tvu player for ages, it allows me (along with many other players) to watch the dirty diggers sport monopoly for free too :)

tv coming down at 30-40 odd kbps, and looking and sounding v good.
