Georgia -- What do you think?

Post by major.tom »

I'm curious what others think of this story. It seems each side has their own version of events, but I would think the markings on the munition should make it pretty clear whose bomb it is...

F**k, I just voted provocation but I meant to vote crying wolf, though to be honest it could be either.

I'm going with provocation with what little information that was given in the article. This won't come back to bite me in the ass later, will it? LOL!!

I agree with you, pirtybirdy.

It's hard to tell either way, but going on what's happened in the past shows us that Russia is more than capable of pressuring their neighbours. Though if it is provocation, they either don't care what anyone else thinks or they trust nobody to believe hard evidence like radar data or the missile (which, by failing to detonate, appears to have caught them with their pants down).

If it isn't provocation, this must rate pretty highly as a well-executed false flag operation.

Hopefully time will tell.
