Brilliant graphics 'demos'

I've been looking at 'demos' for years. They're basically small programs by coders which are designed to push the capabilities of the computer being used to make impressive graphics and music. This site: www.scene.org is the main place to find such work and I've been there today to have a look about.



One thing that I thought was excellent was THIS it's a play on those Petey and Jaydee alien animations. This file is actually just an avi file whereas most demos are programs that come in a package like a screensaver. The speed from the FTP site is outstanding and you should get even this 25mb file in a few seconds if you can handle it...
