The thing that amuses me about all this bollocks is, even if George was guilty of some sort of money-taking, what the fuck would it be compared to the scores of other proven criminals who are responsible for people's deaths???

Tim, What is your obsession with the minutiae of who benifited from any monies received by the Miriam Appeal Fund. Why do you not address the most important aspect of the whole affair i.e. the laudable attempt at helping the Iraqi people who bore the devastating consequences of the sanctions imposed upon them by the West. This was done to punish Saddam Hussein but only affected the ordinary Iraqis. Why did people like you never try to help them,or speak out about their suffering. I would suggest that you adopted the attitude as espoused by the mainstream media of blurring the distinction between Saddam, Iraq and the Iraqi people i.e. Saddam=Iraq. Ordinary Iraqis were never seen as "people"-they were "non-persons" ; vague and nebulous abstractions as they still are today!

Shows that you can get onto the supreme court by lying to sham confirmation hearings, and once you are on there, you are there FOR LIFE. Talk about rewarding liars -- and undermining the law. How can you have trust in a system where the TOP JUDGES (who are put there for LIFE by politicians) are themselves liars.
