BIG BROTHER 7 DISCUSSION

Well, I think that I wasn't far off with my initial picks...
Dawn (if she hasn't walked already) & Bonneahhhh along with Glynn are up for eviction.
I did have Shabby-Azz to stay the course & perhaps he could have.
I was happy as heck when he did leave if only for the mental stability of the other house mates.
As for the screening of people on the show & perhaps shebaz not being screened correctly... DUH!!!
Yes they are screened for their stability under pressure... they even get set up for a few days in a mock house with others just to check how they will fair in the real deal.
I think the problem if any is that Shab' has spent most of his camp life acting & can't tell what is reality...
Hence, he could have been so into the 'part he played' (acting as he called it) that the screeners didn't see a crack in his facade.
He so truely believed in 'his part' that he became 'whatever'...
It would take weeks or even months of clinical observation to have seen how bad he realy is.
As humans we all wear dif' hats (take on roles), when I put on my tie for work, I am all buisness... we all do it, just poor old shabby super glued his 'hat' on & got lost in what he was doing.
Certainly a full on attention seeker from reading what Faceless has posted in here & other threads (& from what I could find in the papers)... as are all the other people on the show otherwise they wouldn't have even gone along to the first audition...
Just that there are degrees of attention seeking...
Shabby did a perfect job of being a sterotype mincing drama queen... when their spotlight fades, they bring out the big guns & threaten to 'hurt themselves'.
You are happy Shabaz left for the stability of the other housemates?
They treated Shabaz terribly in the end. It became clear each day that he was acting out and not being himself. Some of his behaviour was disturbing but mostly his actions were just stupid, not evil. And is it his fault? I don't think so. He clearly has problems. He did sign up for the show, but he should never of been in the house in the first place.
Channel 4 wants to push the envelope each year but to see Shabaz being locked out of the house yesterday by the group and then taunted and mocked was cruel to me.
No matter how annoying I thought the guy was, he didn't deserve that and I was disgusted that Big Brother didn't step in and stop it.
They seem to care more about someone sending out secret messages, and quite happy to allow intimidation, bullying and ganging up on an individual. That makes for good tv I guess but I didn't enjoy watching it.
I liked Richard but it was his idea to blank Shabaz and he seemed to lead the group to gang up on him. Sezar tossing out Shabaz's cereal bowl repeatedly in front of him and the entire group less George all getting up and leaving the room when Shabaz entered. Well all of that just made me feel really sorry for the guy.
Now he's gone they've no one to gang up on at the moment, but who will be their next victim?
I was wondering if they will cancel evictions this Friday as it really doesn't seem fair to the two that are left up for eviction.faceless wrote:I think they'll just put the next person with the next most votes up for eviction then bring someone new in next week or something. There's still that winner of the Kit-Kat ticket to come also.
Then again Channel 4 wouldn't want to lose the money they get off the text voting would they? Not to mention the ratings would probably not be as good since eviction night is when they attract the most viewers.
Maybe I missed it, but I felt a bit of a disconnect when Leah was called into the Diary Room and reminded that BB will not accept bullying behaviour, etc.
So what was it then when Shahbaz was locked out of the house, then had his clothes taken from him whilst in the pool? If that wasn't bullying, I don't know what is!
The situation doesn't make sense to me and seems as though some of the house "rules" are arbitrarily enforced.
Just my 2p.

Bonnie's gone and whilst she was the first person evicted, she was really the third person to leave. Weird first week for BB.
I felt bad for her that she was booed. I don't think she did anything to deserve that, but she handled herself well.
In seeing her audtion tape replayed again she seemed like a completely different person in that. Guess we never saw that side to her because she really never did anything but sit around sulking because she didn't have her suitcase. Not that I could blame her for that.
Too bad she couldn't of been herself, like she was in the interview with Davina. She might of gotten on better.
Davina hinted at something exciting happening on Monday, so I am assuming it will be new housemates don't you think?

I was a bit gutted seeing Bonnah leaving as well and was saying pleasssssssse don't boo her but it's to be expected from those muppets. She did take it all very well though and handled it pretty solid.
I wish they didn't have to show her the lack of votes as that'd be enough to make anyone feel badly, but atleast she saw how good a pal Lea turned out to be.
For sure they're going to put someone in the house monday. With so many leaving the first week they haven't a choice. I hope it's someone that really stirs things up and does just what Sezer said, like tries to break up the couples and so on. We need some spark back since Shahbaz is gone.
By the way.....doesn't Glyn look 110% better with his hair chopped? He's slowly coming out of his shell and I think that's brilliant. I laughed like mad when he got a stiffy after the lap dance

I just get the feeling Glynn is too young and naive for Big Brother. I think he may end up with undesired attention.
On the other hand, he may fond out who he is, which could be interesting.
Quite glad Dawn is out... she wasn't particulalrly nic and didn't really fit.
I wonder what they are going to do on Monday - looking forward to that show.
Did I just get hooked?

Luckily for me, but I've found excellent "therapy" right here on "The Couch"!!!
......One just needs to relax, adjust your pillow, stretch out on The Couch, and tell us your worries or concerns......I'm sure you'll find someone here who will sort you out!!! :converse:
It may be psychotherapy on the fly (mind you, neither mood nor mind-altering chemicals are provided here [hee-hee]), but in the end, it's all about the love and good-will of "Couchmates Helping Couchmates, isn't it?

Pete lets "clingy" Lisa down gently
Day 11, 18:01 BST - by Neil Wilkes
Pete has made it clear to Lisa that he interested in nothing more than just a friendship with her. His comments came after the housemates spent all morning discussing the growing strength of Lisa's feelings for him.
Last night Pete had confessed to the boys that he was becoming disturbed by Lisa's "clinginess" and her apparent jealousy every time he spends time with any of the other girls. The group urged Pete to come clean with Lisa now to save her potential embarrassment down the road.
Mindful of possessive relationships from previous series, Imogen suggested that the public would begin to view Lisa as a "bunny boiler" if Pete let things progress any further. Eventually Pete pulled Lisa aside in the bedroom and asked her how she felt.
"I said I liked you and I would snog you. I like you a lot, as a friend," she replied, denying that her feelings went any further. "They're all perceiving it in a mad way. We're just having a laugh, aren't we? It's funny."
"I'd got it into my head that.. Fatal Attraction and all that," Pete joked. "Everyone else saw the signs that you really fancied me and that you were coming quite possessive over me and stuff."
Lisa remained insistent that she viewed Pete as only a friend, although the others were unconvinced. "She's probably saying that now because she's feeling a little rejected," Richard suggested later. "She's covering it up." "Maybe, but it suits me man," Pete mused. "The fact that I can now sleep in someone else's bed if I wanted to makes me feel better."
-------------
Pete will win this show I'm fairly certain - and I see now that he's become the bookie's favourite... nice one
