It's all lies Comrades, don't fall for it, it's all western propaganda at it's worst.

I'm not sure what to make of that - the capitalist system is just as 'brain-washing' as any other and it is because of it that workers in china are currently put under such pressure. And the fact it's supposed to be for children is even worse...

If I had children I'd not want them to be brainwashed through a cartoon into believing that all Chinese are living under such conditions. I wonder if the Chinese make cartoons about American kids being all fat and useless and that the best way to exploit them is by making products to keep them in their consumerist dream-state?

More [s]bollocks[/s] opinions later...

I quite certain they do....and if they don't, then there are plenty of others who do.

I just found it funny, especially as a parent who ends up watching Spongebob on TV with the kids.

that's the point though - does it make it acceptable to do the same shit in return, especiallywhen the creators are suggesting (crudely and without originality) that their country is superior?

Yea, but this isn't a real spongebob cartoon, is it? It's just made to look like one for the sake of clumsy satire.

Yea, there's no way it's made by the people who do the genuine spongebob toons. It appears to be edited together mainly from real footage with different pictures layered over, such as the calendar and the Chinese additions to the characters. From what I can tell, anyhoo...

It is an edit of it. That's why I laughed the whole way through. There's no way Nick would put this on their station!

if you knew it wasn't real then you could have said earlier - not all of us know what goes on Nickleodeon.

Didn't realize that was the case. Sorry.
