George was interviewed about Blair's departure... and Durham asked George about his pal Saddam.

He was livid and after an impressive couple of minute salvo in which he repeated, to be insulted by a man whose name I don't even know, he slammed the phone down. It must have been an old fashioned one because it made one hell of a bang.

I think Gaunt subsequently made the "coward" comment, which George objected to.

George mentioned yesterday that Gaunt vetoed his appearance on last Christmas's show ("Battle of the Titans"), where Gaunt constantly criticized George. It shows a long term friction.

Maybe George sitting in for Gaunt now has an extra meaning to all concerned.

Isn't there a talksport show that recaps the moments of the week? They might play it.

George was asked last night if he would play the conversation with Adrian. He said he won't.

Unsure if that meant he can't for technical reasons, or for internal reasons.

Talksport might not like two presenters clashing .. though it does make for publicity ("all news is good news")

yeh i heard that exchange! It was on the Ian Wright show 4-7pm on thursday or friday I think.. It was really funny he just slammed the phone but said he respected Wrighty, who was upset 'cos he wanted to ask him some questions.
