Even though I can't stand Cheney I think it's a terrible idea.

He currently has an 8% approval rating and is nothing but a huge liability to the Republican Party. If he is removed he can be replaced with someone more popular and help boost the Republican Parties tarnished image.

It would better to leave him as a thorn in their side.
