The new thing is Laser projectors that are the size of a pack of Smokes.(Cell Phone size for you non-Smokers or too young to remember.

I used to sell the next 'stage' up in price of the sony range...

To be honest at only $400 - $500 more the next one up is far better & worth every dollar extra.

As for bulb life, the one we had running seven days a week 9 to 5 & then a few extra hours some weekends... well the bulbs lasted about 12- 14 months.

(If you were the average viewer, it would last ya' 3 or 4 years, maybe more)

Have to say as well, we had several other brands up to $40k & I prefered the picture from the sony...
