Cellphone hogwash

Post by Skylace »

Cell phones safe to use in hospitals: U.S. study [Reuters]
Calls made on cell phone don't affect hospital medical devices, a study concludes, but those anti-theft alarms found in retailers might be poison to implanted heart devices. One portable CD player tested caused an abnormal ECG reading. The news ultimately means, however, that hospital anti-cellphone rules as as much hogwash as similar rules aboard airliners.

This doesn't surprise me at all. However, they're still going to tell us not to just like they do on airplanes. Wankers :nyer:

Doctors have been using them in the hospitals for years.

I was in Cyprus a few years back and a girl in our apartments hurt herself really bad. She was allowed to use her mobile during her stay in the hospital.

This was about 4/5 years ago.

Could you imagine a plane journey with everyone yapping on their mobiles though. Nightmare.

Well, they won't work on planes once you're high enough up as you can't get a signal anymore. But they want you to turn them off, which is just silly.
