Here in the states they pretty much dedicate a whole 30 minutes to the whole 'who is the father' and 'where will she get buried' thing during prime time. My wife actually is interested in the whole shambles (God knows why) while I just feel sick that TV stations would take advantage of such a horrible scenario to fill viewing time (and milk the whole situation!!). I think it is all a bit sad!
The news and tabloids have certainly run wild with their coverage on this story, I'll give you that. But I think Irish made some good points, in that the human dynamic, why do people do the things they do.... it's those sort of things that make it interesting for some people..... I guess more on a psychological level than anything else. I certainly wasn't an Anna Nicole fan, but when I sit back and look at all that's happened since she passed, I really think it could be a university course in psychology/sociology, etc.

What fascinates me in regards to the psychology surrounding it, is people are simply fascinated and yet, as much as they loathe and despise her, they still feel compelled to watch. Instead of changing the channel or turning the tv off, it is more fun to bitch and watch.
