Saturday's download

spidered news has offered a direct download option for the site and if anyone's taking the talkSPORT show from the members' section can you tell me whether it's faster or slower than the downloads from sendspace?

I'm trying to download it now, and it's going very slowly (15.2kbps). It timed out the first time I tried after only about 2MB of the file had arrived, and the DL dialogue box at the moment says that I have 1 hr 6 mins left to wait!

I'll cancel the download and probably try again later this evening and let you know what happens.

I've just tested my ISP speed and it's much lower than normal, so this looks like a problem with my own connection and not with the download. Oops!

Strange .. I could download at 2.75Mbs .. with no interruptions.

I've just restarted my computer and connected to the net on a different server and now the download is speeding along nicely

I have had very few problems with my download speeds in the past so I leaped to the conclusion it must be at your end when it wasn't. Sorry sorry sorry!!!
