I've been reading Clive James' first autobiography recently and there's a whole great section about being treated as "socialist scum" for daring to have a beard in Italy in the 60's. I've a feeling his was just a bit more ragged though - haha

Now that I think though, I can't think of any other MPs with beards, Charles Clarke maybe?

Beards and Clash of the Titans

Post by moonspangle »

Maybe Clive needed a beard to hide the fact he has no discernible neck!

MPs without a beard - Nigel beard (Bexleyheath & Crayford).

I know it is not a Galloway related theme but I have realplayer versions of Titans going back to the original, and they are not that big if anyone requests. Has anyone got the 06 version?

Clash of the Titans

Post by moonspangle »

Clash of the Titans is the Talksport Christmas special which lasts 2 to 3 hours and is aired twice of Christmas Day. Four of the hardest radio jocks go head to head and this year George recorded a question for them to chunder over - cannot recall what exactly, but there are several issues that they argue about from the past year.

It usually involves people like James Whale, Tommy Boyd, Mike Dickins (sadly recently deceased), Mike Parry, Charlie Wolf and one or two others. It often ends in chaos. One recording from 3 years ago has Mike smashing a chair to pieces live when he gets wound up. I have from 2001.

Good Radio Fun!

ah right yeah, I heard the one at Christmas there, but if you have others then those would be great to have. If you've got them as mp3 then it's very easy to upload them to www.sendspace.com - it's best to sign up for a free account though as files not sent through a logged account tend to be deleted after a couple of days.
