Anger at Galloway's comments about Saddam

ANGER AT GALLOWAY CHE RANT
By Bob Roberts, Deputy Political Editor

REBEL MP George Galloway sparked fury yesterday when he compared Saddam Hussein to socialist hero Che Guevara. He said the execution had transformed Iraq's former dictator into a martyr. And he warned pictures of Saddam on the gallows would be used like the image of Che that has adorned millions of posters.

The Respect MP said: "The foolishly videotaped pictures of Saddam twisting on a rope fashioned by the illegal occupiers who overthrew him will return to haunt those who directed them." He said they "would encourage others to take up the sword in decades to come" like images of Che. The pictures mean Saddam will be seen "as more than ordinary - a martyr killed at the behest of Washington", Mr Galloway added.

Labour MPs reacted angrily. Former Foreign Office minister Denis MacShane said: "George Galloway disconnected himself from his left-wing roots more than a decade ago when he began sucking up to fascist dictators like Saddam Hussein. Che Guevara struggled for his socialist beliefs. Saddam Hussein was a man whose beliefs were based on Adolf Hitler."

Poor little labourites eh? Can't they just look at the facts of what was said instead of making snide comments? Of course they can't, they're self-interested idiots who think sucking Tony Blair's arse is more important than defending the lives of the tens of thousands who will die or be forced into grief by the murder of Saddam.

Denis MacShane is a sad little Labour toadie. He's actually a member of the Henry Jackson Society, which is a society advocating "the spread of liberal democracy across the world by military intervention", so I don't think many people take him too seriously anymore! He was probably thrilled just to get his name in The Mirror!

That's some useful info there, cheers. And you're probably right about him being delighted!

For a New Labour Minister to accuse others of disconnecting from left-wing roots is hysterical! !
Also his lying smear about GG sucking up to dictators like Saddam, contrasted to New Labour officially instructing it’s Ambassadors to the US to "get up the arse of the White House and stay there” (!), which is not a smear but reality.
