Alcatraz

This is a new time-travel drama series. The basic idea is that 300 prisoners vanished from Alcatraz and they reappear in the modern era at random times (quite a handy detail for an ongoing series). It stars Sam Neill and the fat guy from Lost. That's not the only connection to Lost though - some of the music is very reminiscent and I'm guessing the production team had 'something like Lost' as their main bullet-point... but that's no bad thing.

According to TV.com, this is another J.J. Abrams project. Based on how Lost turned out, I think I will give this a miss.

That's good to hear Face. From the previews it seemed like a pretty crappy premise.

That works for me. I don't expect all of my television to be amazing, but I do expect it to be entertaining!

its OK but I think im going to tire of the 'monster of the week' premise pretty soon.
it will be interesting to see if they play out the usual 'will they wont they' with the male and female leads. my guess is they wont which will be something different for a change.

Got to say I wasn't overly impressed with the first few episodes but it's grown on me. They have set up some more mystery with the main characters and it looks like it has some space to develop. Hope they do a second series.
