Also, if you want to see the Thai brides one that we were discussing I got hold of it from thepiratebay.org, just search "thai brides theroux" or something and there's a fairly well seeded version out there.taiwan4lee wrote:faceless, where can i watch these vids? thx
I've come up with a better description of that psychotic ginger bloke - he's a cross between Alan Partridge and "Lefty" Ruggiero out of Donnie Brasco, the Al Pacino character! Hilarious but very scary!
theres a new louis theroux programme on iplayer called ultra zionists
Louis Theroux - Ultra Zionists
Louis Theroux spends time with a small and very committed subculture of ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers. He discovers a group of people who consider it their religious and political obligation to populate some of the most sensitive and disputed areas of the West Bank, especially those with a spiritual significance dating back to the Bible.
Throughout his journey, Louis gets close to the people most involved with driving the extreme end of the Jewish settler movement - finding them warm, friendly, humorous, and deeply troubling.

I quite enjoyed it by the end - but only because it was the only point at which he tried to talk common sense to the Jewish guy. In most of his docs he gets to such points as part of the whole doc, not as the ending.
Still, I really enjoyed the scene where the 4-8 yr old kids were winding up the IDF. It was funny to see that one particular soldier squirm, but I imagine he'd have done things differently if the cameras weren't there...

I watched the one with that awful Phelps family this week.....It was on the Discovery Channel.
It was horrifying that they turned up at dead soldiers' funerals with their offensive banners....Unbelievable!
The 'pastor' couldn't give an intelligent answer to any of Theroux's questions...
it's sad that the kids are indoctrinated with this drivel....sad and infuriating!!!!
This documentary made my blood boil!!!
