For some reason Channel 4 are now showing Hill St. Blues again. I was a big fan when it was on originally and the scene from the titles, above, caught me every time. When I saw that image I was immediately drawn to the truck which is driving across the bridge in the background and what the driver was all about. Where was he going, what did he know?! He didn't know he was being filmed, but he's a definite 80s hero for me.
I once knew a girl who knew the guy who was the back end of the Snoffleofagus on Sesame Street, but her stories would have taken on a whole new value if she'd known the guy who drove that truck over the bridge in the Hill St Blues title sequence!
