Odd Words and Phrases

There are of course the often quoted ones such as

Why is Abbreviation such a long word?
Why is Dyslexic so difficult to spell?
Why is there only one Monopolies commision?
Why isn’t there another word for Thesaurus?

Then I was listening to the radio today and heard the phrase 'head over heels' and thought "isn’t your head always over your heels?"

Any odd words or phrases that confuse or puzzle you?

hahahaha That, sadly, has never crossed my mind. I shall never hear that phrase the same again.
