with this youtube accelerator thing it's a lot better too

I'm pretty sure I've seen this before. Very funny. I especially liked the bit about being careful about covering exposed flesh.
If you see a flash and you're close enough, you won't have to worry about exposed flesh unless you're wearing a lotion with SPF 1,000,000.

They had clips of this in "the Atomic Cafe" ... an awesome little gem filled with "atomic" clips ... It's worth a look if you can find it ... you tube has some clips ...

I remember doing "duck and cover" drills as a kid here in Florida... I think they evolved into tornado drills.
That siren is just horrible! They used those same horns in Illinois for tornado warnings ...

It's comforting to know that the A-bomb is only as dangerous as slipping on a bar of soap in the shower.
I wonder what came of those solders who received a mouthful of dust. "Temporary hair loss," I would imagine.
