CAMILLA stuck a stiletto into Prince Charles's green credentials — by having a pair of shoes jetted 3,000 MILES for a posh bash.

The Duchess of Cornwall demanded that some favourite high heels she'd forgotten were sent out for a gala event in the Middle East.

Aides were ordered to find them at the couple's Highgrove home and get them to her within 48 HOURS — because they matched the outfit she'd chosen.

They arrived in time. But then, astonishingly, she didn't wear them!

Senior courtiers were amazed that Charles agreed to have the shoes sent by courier to Kuwait during their tour of the Gulf states last month and paid for it out of his Duchy of Cornwall income.

A royal source said: "Camilla had enough footwear for a month with her, but she wanted this particular pair. When they got there she changed her mind!

"If it makes her happy it makes Charles happy, so it had to be done. She isn't a fan of foreign tours so anything to make her more comfortable."

The prince has been outspoken on carbon emissions, so the extravagant flight will dent his credibility on green issues.

He has ordered his staff to offset his travel carbon emissions by tree-planting and eco-friendly investments, but earlier this year he controversially made a 7,000-mile round trip to the US, with 14 members of staff, to get an environmental award.

Graham Thompson, of green pressure group Plane Stupid, said: "This was the epitome of an unnecessary flight. The duchess was reckless and selfish."

A royal spokesman refused to comment. Camilla, 59, spent most of last week in hospital after her hysterectomy and has cancelled all official engagements for six months.

I hope Dispatches mentions this along with all the other hypocritical shite about Charlie boy. This horsefaced slag has some nerve demanding anything let alone a ridiculous thing like shoes to be flown over to her.
