Indeed. I thought this was pretty clear from the start. The media reports regularly parroted the "no boots on the ground" line with the caveat of "support personnel" which (if you read between the lines) means CIA.
I wonder if there will be an Iran Contra scandal related to Libya. If there are CIA acting in Libya, presumably for a period of time preceding the original uprising, one must wonder if the US of A is providing them with arms and munitions. Or is that where friendly neighbourhood dictatorships like Saudi Arabia come in? |
