These pictures were released under Freedom of Information laws this week, more than eight years after the horrifying 2001 attacks which killed 2,752 and kick-started the international War on Terror.

The images are a selection of thousands obtained by America's NBC news network.[/align]

I hope all these photos are available to the public - why some of these were kept back for so long is a wonder.

Spectacular images of a horrific event. I believe that this was all contrived, planned & callous, but I'm still very interested to know if these new pics will reveal any interesting new info.
