lovely looking dog though, i had a mate and her dog staying here last week, it was nice having a dog about the place that is until saturday when i went to mow the lawn and found lots of reminders of the dogs visit

a quick test of some time lapse - the only problem is i couldn't remember how to set the time lapse function on the camera so had to do it manually, and i didn't take a coat and its quite cold this morning so i came home ... the idea was i'd get the sun rising - but as you can see its a bit cloudy for that! one day ...

Nice idea, Luke. Since it appears you have a tripod, I'd bet you could create some pretty nice panorama shots as well. One of my coworkers patches them together with a program called Realviz (?) Stitcher. (link)

thanks major, i'll look into this stitcher software ( here if anyone else is interested ) i've tried a couple of panorama type shots before - but really basic, just putting them together in photoshop. the images from your link are really impressive

good stuff, what was the delay on the frames?

well, it was all a bit random ... there is a setting on my camera to do it automatically, but i couldn't remember how to do it - so it was just me pressing the button every minute or so - 13 shots in 18 minutes. next time i do it i'll make sure i know what i'm doing

over the river from me is this big hill, i'm thinking from there you'd get a great view over plymouth which over a longer period of time as the sun rises could look pretty cool

some new additions to the bird family in the garden

i have a bit of a bird emergency today ... i was trying to get some pics of the baby birds being fed like the one above, today one of the babies was being quite bold and was looking out the hole for its parents ... then it fell out! nows it stuck on the ground unable to fly, the parent birds keep flying around looking for it but don't seem to be spotting it on the ground ...

awww poor Lil bird ...and silly parents Just make sure the local cat doesn't get him Luke ...

I have been trying to get pictures of our Local hummingbirds the last few days but they move so fast ...I will keep trying ..we have a feeder in the front of the house ..and of course when i dont have my camera they stay there for ages also trying to capture the Pretty red Cardinal That feeds outside my bedroom window ....Had no luck with him either ..I'll keep trying I heard that cornwalls quite the bird watching Place ....I know You are not in cornwall but hell those birds must fly near you

Ps My friend I Rent my place from is an avid birdwatcher and I cant help but learn from her as she makes it fun

its trying to fly at the moment ... not very well, but its trying! luckily i've not seen any cats in my garden so fingers crossed ... i'm keeping an eye out anyway

i've discovered photographing any wildlife takes quite a bit of patience! good luck with it aja

i'm as close to cornwall as you can be and not be in cornwall - check this pic, its not very good, i took it the other morning but it was quite foggy and the colours haven't come out right, but this is just down the road from me - the land to the right of the picture across the river is cornwall - its 12 miles to get there by road though ... or a quick trip across the water by ferry
