APPRENTICE star Lucinda Ledgerwood is hiding a family secret - she changed her name because she did not want to be known as Miss Burger. The Scots-based TV hopeful has taken her mother's family name of Ledgerwood but was known as Cindy Burger at school. She changed identities in 2004 after moving to Edinburgh and setting up a dating agency called Sage and Thyme.
A friend said: "Cindy changed her name because she wanted to be treated more seriously in the world of business. Her grandmother's family name was Ledgerwood so she took that on. Burger attracted the expected giggle. Cindy is a very bright girl and determined to win."
Lucinda's mum Sally Laird, who is divorced from her father Bernard Burger, refused to talk about her daughter. Neighbours in Berkshire said they knew nothing about Lucinda appearing in The Apprentice. And when told she was appearing on the show, her stepdad Iain Laird said: "Oh God. Is she?"
Lucinda, 31, says she turned down the chance to body double for a Bond girl. In the show she is competing for a s100,000-a-year job with Sir Alan Sugar. She has said: "I always win, so it's a natural conclusion. I always win." Lucinda was unavailable for comment yesterday at her Edinburgh flat.

I'm relishing the opportunity not to make any puns about this.

Just caught up with this tonight.
Oh my god what a complete bunch of tossers these guys are.
Predictions looking good so far.... pleased the onerous Mr De Lacy Brown has gone, and I reckon "Raef" is not far behind.
Some great pearls of wisdom from Siralan as usual. I liked the way he identified Nicolas' qualification as being "outstanding"

Raef got fired last night.RaulRipp wrote: That Raef Bjayou's a pompous tosser n'all. His "I get on with prince or pauper" comment is priceless!
I thought either of the other two [Michael & Claire] in the boardroom should have been fired instead. They had been in the boardroom "firing" very often, and it was Raef's first time
I said at the start "My money is on Lucinda Ledgerwood" .. since she is in the final 6, shows it wasn't a bad bet.
Yes, I certainly agree. What bothers me the most is that the guy blatantly lied on his CV re: his education. For anyone who's busted their ass at school, college, uni, or in any certification course, it's kind of a slap in the face. Just lie about it, and you'll get a job with a six-figure income!
Nice guy he may be, but he shouldn't have won the job.
