So Bill O'Reilly, champion for all that is right (and by right I mean republican here in the states) and decent and moral thought Sarah crossed the line in her joke about Paris and the painting of bars. He called it cruel because Paris was there for the joke. So apparently it is less cruel to make those kinds of statements behind someone's back then to their face.

Uh, ok, not sure what to make of this, but CNN is reporting (siting TMZ as their source), that Hilton has been released from jail already!! 3 days of a 45 day sentence...shameful!

that's pretty shocking if it's true - I wonder what the reason is? If I was an average american I'd be raging if it is true.

I was just listening to the press conference and trust me, Faceless, I am raging!! Apparently she is being "reassigned" which means she has opted to an ankle bracelet and she is under house arrest. Because of this, she is now back up to the 45 day sentence and they are considering her with 5 days already served, so she will spend 40 days under house arrest (yeah, I can just imagine how horrible that would be....pool, maids, sauna, satalite big screen tv, cooks...). They are saying that it was for medical reasons. What a load of bulls**t. "I am too sick to stay in jail...waah, waah.."

thats so out of order, just shows you what money and power can get you though ... if that had been any of us they'd still be in there, medical problems or not

I volunteer to serve Paris' sentence under house arrest, provided I get to spend it either in her house or in the penthouse suite of one of her family's hotels.
I do not think Paris' situation is really all that different than anyone else's really. Here in New Mexico there are people convicted of the 20th DWI and they get 90 days in jail suspended. We bitch and moan over here about the DWI problem, but the laws are not all that strict on offenders and most judges view it as a nominal crime and do not want to use prison space on drunk drivers.

wasn't the sentence given because of her contempt of court though?

The sentence was enforced because she violated her DWI probation and drove on a suspended license. Although she claims that was her publicists' fault because he told her it was okay for her to drive. If she had just been sent to jail when she was convicted of DWI, maybe we wouldn't be here.

FFS! I am raging! This totally pisses me off! Somebody do something to the cunt.
It just proves to me once again that if you're rich enough you never pay.

She is being treated no different than any other criminal who has violated their probation for DWI. In fact, she served more time than 99% of my violators do. Blame the judges, not the individual.

aww, can't we just blame her for the sheer hellish pleasure of it?

You can blame her for being stupid
