Good point, Sky. When looked thru the window and it was covered with flies, I felt my stomach lurch. I can't believe that he would go check when there are other people around. There was an old man gardening that Lucas had to walk by and he even nodded hello, then walks over looks in the window and wretches...not too suspicious. Dead people don't smell like manure...they have to notice soon.

We were given a reason, but he wasn't. We know that the Old Bill knows that the body is Trina. Of course when someone found dead, their spouse is the first suspect, so I guess they are following that up.
I have not been giving Lucas enough credit. His phone call to Trina's phone, while that may have been the reason the police brought him in, makes is look like he is just trying to get ahold of her out of concern. Very crafty our little preacher man.... Having said that, he is not going to get away with it...he is not a cool enough liar.

Talking to the police without a lawyer in those situations is just plain stupid. Just because you're tape recorded doesn't mean they won't try to accuse you. As for UK law I have no clue but in the US most states record any questioning regardless. Heck, the officers have cameras in their cars running for all traffic stops and there's no "caution" there.
Get a lawyer, period.

LUCAS CONFESSES TO KILLING LOVE RIVAL
27th June 2010[/align]
PREACHER Lucas Johnson confesses to murdering love rival Owen Turner after his body is found buried in Albert Square. The deranged dad has spent the last few months pretending to be a doting husband to wife Denise, despite strangling her ex on their wedding day. So when Walford lad Fatboy damages a tree and finds Owen’s body beneath it, Lucas is forced to admit to Denise that he killed him. And when Denise is arrested in connection with the murder the shocked mum has to decide whether or not she’s going to tell the police exactly what she knows.
An EastEnders insider said: “Lucas tries to stay calm when the body is discovered but inside he’s a nervous wreck. Denise realises that something is terribly wrong with her husband and finally gets him to admit exactly what he did to Owen. As the revelation is sinking in she’s whisked off to the police station as their No.1 suspect. But viewers will have to wait and see whether she gives Lucas up to save herself. And if she does get out of the police station now she knows Lucas’ deepest darkest secret, there’s only one way he’ll be able to make sure she never tells anyone what he did. There’s a real chance Denise could end up being Lucas’ next victim.
Fans of the BBC1 soap can watch all the action involving Lucas start a week tomorrow.
