GG to return to talksport

Post by faceless »

I was just catching up on GG's blog in the Daily Record and saw this line from last week - "One of the best things about my Talksport radio show - back real soon, by the way - was the brief but glorious musical leitmotifs."

That's not a surprise at all, especially after his quality appearance on Thursday's Question Time. Hopefully there will be more details soon.

Has anyone been listening to Talksport's nightly chat shows? If so have any of George's regulars been phoning in?

I've only listened a couple of times - I've heard Tommy and Karl on a few shows.

I wonder what prompted the change of heart by the Talksport management. Maybe the prospect of George Galloway MP attacking a majority Tory government made them nervous? Or did they realise that they had squandered a largely unique demographic to sell to their customers?

I know I had stopped listening to Talksport...

Any ideas? Rumours?

"I think you'll find that George Galloway's show has been axed from TalkSport, and he will not be coming back on the airways in anything close to style of his old show."

I don't know where "writerman" got his info from, but lets hope that he's wrong;

Yes he has, which is good, but I was concerned about the comment "in anything close to style of his old show", which I just hope is an assumption, rather than a bit of insiders' info.
