Kind of a word game.....

See the following link:
https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/5047982.stm

You can link into the "start a search" page here:
https://www.spatial-literacy.org/UCLnames/Surnames.aspx

Write in surname, check "1998" button and click "Find"
Click "geographical location" and look for the "social demographics" box

Took me a while to get in...the site's being slammed right now.

My result:
Only 20% of people have with a more high-status name

So I'm more posherer than 80% of brits.

Beat that!

There were no results found for your selection. There needed to be at least 100 people with the name on the Electoral Register in 1998 to be in the database. We are hoping to add these missing names at a later date.

Mine comes out as 780 in 1 million names which is 0.08% of the population... which of course means I'm totally posh and all that!

The pic shows the amount of people per area with the name... as you can see, we're quite alone up here!

:)
I put in my married name, so that might have something to do with it. There's not many of them banging about the UK or many places in the world for that matter. I could put in my madien name, however, I know that it was changed from it's original name when my great-great-grandfather immigrated to the US. So my madien name is down right commom! :)
