My tv died a while back and I've been determined not to have to spend hundreds replacing it, so the other day I got a monitor for free from someone on Freecycle (though I had to pay for a taxi to bring it home) and today I got a old model Gadmei TV Box from ebay for 4.50 in total. So now I'm set up with a new tv for the princely sum of 8.50.
The tv-box takes the input from a normal scart-phone lead and converts the signal to VGA. It also has a standard aerial socket too, so it will pick up broadcast channels if required.
To get a tv that gives this quality of picture I would have had to have spent at least 120, so this is a total result! |

Great result m8...
I use a TV as a monitor now, but in the past have often used a monitor as a TV & as you say the quality is better than many TVs for the same price. |

I'm more than happy it's sorted too - I've had to watch any live tv I wanted to see on the small window in the capture card software for months! |
